Kelsey Broadus

Kelsey Broadus

Kelsey was hired by Head Coach Andrew Rich in the summer of 2022 to help lead the Bengals pitching staff!

"Kelsey is going to be a great addition to our staff," said Head Coach Andrew Rich. "She is one of the most competitive people I know and I can't wait to watch her work with our pitchers. She's been coached by and worked under some great pitching coaches over her career and so I'm really excited to see how she combines all of that into her own coaching style."

Broadus played four years at Boise State University (BSU) and wrapped up her playing career at Texas A&M. She spent last season as a volunteer assistant at Boise State, helping lead the Broncos to a 40-10 record.

Along with her time spent at BSU, Broadus also works as a pitching instructor at the Reps Training Facility where she helps pitchers 12 and up hone their skills.

Kelsey comes to the program with a strong playing resume. During her time in the circle Broadus garnered multiple honors and accomplishments. 2018 was a breakout year for Broadus earning Mountain West Pitcher of the Year and First Team honors. She was then awarded Second Team NFCA All-Pacific Region honors.

In her time at the two schools, Broadus appeared in 112 games and finished her career with a winning 37-26 record. Against Campbell, Broadus pitched her first career no-hitter (03/06/2021). At Boise State in 2019, Broadus cemented herself into the Bronco history book as she threw a complete game in the circle against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament and earned the first postseason win in Boise State history.

When not coaching, Broadus enjoys spending time outside hiking, camping and finding good books to read.
