Adam Nerio

Adam Nerio enters his third season as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Idaho State University for the Fall 2025 season.

Since joining the Bengals, Nerio has played a key role in the program’s progress, contributing to player development, recruiting, and daily operations. His responsibilities include leading field sessions, coordinating recruiting efforts, managing video analysis and scouting reports, and assisting with all aspects of team logistics.

Prior to ISU, Nerio was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at St. Mary’s University (TX) from 2019 to 2022. During his tenure, the team earned its first NCAA Tournament at-large bid and reached the Lone Star Conference semifinals. He also served briefly as Interim Head Coach, guiding the team to its first postseason appearance since 2016.

Before that, he was the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Schreiner University and worked with elite youth players as a lead trainer in the New York Red Bulls Youth Academy.

A San Antonio native, Nerio competed as both a men’s soccer player and NCAA Division I cross country athlete at Centenary College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science and a Master of Arts in Public History from St. Mary’s University, where he received the Presidential Award for leadership, service, and academic excellence.

He holds a USSF "C” License, a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma, and is First Aid & CPR certified. He currently resides in Pocatello, ID.
