Amanda Fox begins her second season as an assistant coach for Idaho State University. She helped the team to a fourth-straight winning season in 2004.

Assitant coach Amanda Fox begins her second season with the Bengals this fall.


Fox handles all aspects of coaching with the Bengals, including special instruction with the goalkeepers, practice planning, training, conditioning, and travel preparations. "Amanda brings a wonderful passion for the development of our players," ISU head coach Mark Salisbury said. "Her playing career speaks for itself. Her desire to excel in this profession, and her tireless efforts to improve herself in the demands of this job made her an easy choice for our program. She is an excellent recruiter and a great motivator. " Fox spent three years as a full-time assistant coach at Binghamton, helping the Bearcats make the jump to Division I-A in 2002. Fox helped the team reach the semifinals of the ECAC Tournament in 2003. Fox was a four-year starting goalkeeper for the University of Oregon, where she led the Ducks to their highest win total ever her senior season. In her four years at Oregon, Fox started all 75 games, twice earning Most Valuable Defensive Player accolades and twice leading the Pac-10 in saves. She also was a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection, and was named to the All-America Strength and Fitness team. Fox was one of 25 keepers across the country invited to the first combine for the Women's United Soccer Association, the newly formed professional league. Fox served as an assistant coach at Oregon during the 2000-01 season, and also spent four years as a coach and administrator at the University of North Carolina Girls' Soccer Camp under legendary head coach Anson Dorrance. Fox graduated with honors, receiving a bachelor's degree in fine arts/sociology from Oregon.
