Caleb Husmann enters his second season as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team after serving one year as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2010-11 season.
In the 2012 season, his first with the Bengals, Husmann helped lead the Bengals to a 5-0-2 home record and Big Sky regular season and tournament championships. That season, Husmann worked with co-Offensive Big Sky MVP and First Team All-Conference selection Amanda Ellsworth as well as fellow all-conference honorees Rachel Strawn, Allyson Stainbrook, Anna Pingree, Vanessa Cabilan and Taylor McBride.
Husmann came to Pocatello after a four-year collegiate career at Condordia College where he served as the captain of his team in his final season. After college, Husmann had trials with two USL teams (Harrisburg and Cleveland). He played one season with a UNI semi-professional team in New South Wales, Australia in 2006.
Husmann also held a residence at the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida from 1998-1999 and in 2002. He was a Minnesota ODP from 1997-2003. He coached the Rochester Youth Soccer and Rochester Premier teams in Minnesota for two years.
Husmann earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2007 from Concordia College. He earned a master’s degree in political science from Miami University in 2009. He earned his doctorate in political science from Idaho State in 2011.
