Liz Reinstein enters her first year as an assistant athletic trainer for Idaho State athletics, and she will oversee softball.
Before coming to Idaho State, Reinstein spent a year and a half at the University of Hawaii at Hilo as an athletic trainer for women’s soccer, women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis while assisting with all sports except for baseball. During her time at UH Hilo, Reinstein obtained her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and was able to implement weight training programs for volleyball and tennis.
Prior to her time at UH Hilo, Reinstein attended graduate school at West Texas A&M from 2012-14. While at West Texas A&M, Reinstein worked with the women’s soccer and track and field teams. She earned her master’s in exercise science in 2014 after completing her final two courses online at UH Hilo.
Reinstein attended Eastern Washington University from 2009-12, earning her bachelor’s in 2012. During her time in Cheney, Wash., she worked with the 2010 national championship EWU football team in addition to assisting with women’s basketball in 2011-12. Prior to EWU, Reinstein played a year of junior college basketball at Laney College.
Reinstein was born and raised in Livermore, California.
