Biography

Idaho State (2024): Appeared in 47 games in one of of the best seasons for a Bengal… had a total of 144 at-bats… tallied 57 hits with 15 of those for extra bases- six doubles, three triples, and six home runs… ended the year with a .396 batting average, .604 slugging percentage, and .476 on-base percentage… collected 26 RBI and scored 40 runs… walked 22 times and had 1 hit by pitch… was 19-20 on stolen bases… recorded a .957 fielding percentage… first collegiate home run came against University of California San Diego (02/09/24)... named Big Sky Player of the Week; opened the season with a batting average of .550, a .950 slugging percentage, collecting 11 hits including two home runs  (02/12/24)... was 4-7 day one of the CBU Tournament with one double and a home run collecting three RBI (03/01/24)... named Big Sky Player of the Week; in a three game series with Montana she batted .667 with a slugging percentage of 1.222 collecting six hits, two triples and three walks (04/15/24)... was named the 2024 Big Sky Batting Champion… named to the Big Sky All-Conference First Team.

Idaho State (2023): Saw action in eight games… had a total of seven at-bats for the Bengals… one hit and five stolen bases with a .250 on-base percentage on the year… recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage… selected as a Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete… named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team. 

Idaho State (2022): Appeared in 16 games during her first season… ended the year with a batting average of .261 with a .370 on-base percentage… recorded six hits, two RBI, and scored 13 runs… recorded a .909 fielding percentage with only one error on the season… first collegiate hit came against Abilene Christian University (02/12/22)... selected as a Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete… named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.

Personal: Gracie is the daughter of Holli and Jeff Smith and has three siblings, Maddy, Abbi and Ryder. She chose Idaho State to “earn a degree and play collegiate softball while being close to home. Being close to home and having [her] family be able to watch was the most important thing for [her]. Pocatello is forever [her] second home.”
