Bio:
Floyd King joined Idaho State University in 2024 as a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant.
He leads strength and conditioning programs for Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Cross Country,
while assisting across all sports. He brings a diverse and high-performance background shaped
by NCAA Division I, private-sector, and professional sport experiences.
King began his career at UW-Milwaukee, supporting Basketball and Soccer programs, followed
by an internship at NX Level Sports Performance, where he assisted in the offseason training of
NFL athletes, including All-Pros and a Defensive Player of the Year. He went on to work with
Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Lacrosse at Marquette University, before completing
a professional internship at the University of Minnesota. There, he worked closely with NCAA
Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey teams and aided in the development of NHL, PWHL, and
Olympic athletes.
In recognition of his contributions to collegiate athletics, King was honored as a 2024–2025
Bennion Award recipient.
Since arriving at Idaho State, King has aided in the athletic development of numerous

A former collegiate rugby player at Lindenwood University, King was part of a D1 7s National
Championship team and earned honors as a GRR Top 150 athlete and Collegiate All-Star.
Originally from the Oneida Nation Reservation in Wisconsin, King holds a B.S. in Kinesiology
from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist (NSCA), a Level 1 USA Weightlifting Coach, and certified in Reflexive Performance
Reset (Levels 1–3) and Body Tempering.
King is supported by his late father, William King, his mother, Shannon Metoxen, his uncle Jeff
King, and his four siblings: Yasiman, Leon, Maicy, and Hudson.
