Idaho State Outdoor (2025): In her final outdoor season, Kait Ward delivered standout performances in the hammer throw and discus. She achieved a personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 56.06 meters (183'11") at the Ed Jacoby Twilight (April 25), securing first place. This throw ranks her eighth on Idaho State's all-time list for the event. At the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships (May 14–17), Ward earned second place in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.55 meters (182'3"), contributing valuable points to the team's overall score. In the discus, she recorded a season-best throw of 45.03 meters (147'9") at the Ed Jacoby Twilight, finishing third. She also placed 14th in the discus at the Big Sky Championships with a throw of 41.55 meters (136'4").

Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, Ward focused on the weight throw. She achieved a personal best of 18.34 meters (60'2") at the Stacy Dragila Open (February 7), winning the event and moving to fourth on Idaho State's all-time list for the weight throw. At the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships (February 27–March 1), she placed sixth with a throw of 17.33 meters (56'10.25").



Idaho State Outdoor (2024): Competed in seven meets… started the year hot placing 3rd in the hammer throw at the UVU Collegiate Invitational (03/29/24)... she recorded a personal best in the hammer throw (52.51m/172’ 3”) at the Pacific Coast Invitational (04/11/24)... finished 4th in hammer throw and 6th in discus at the Bengal Invitational (04/27/24)... ended the year at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship placing 7th in the hammer throw (05/11/24)... No. 8 on the Idaho State Top-Ten Performance List for Hammer Throw (52.51m/172’ 3”)...  named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Indoor (2023-24): In her first indoor season with the Bengals she competed in five meets… she opened the year at the Weber State Invitational and finished 12th in shot put and 11th in the weight throw (09/20/24)... placed 2nd in the weight throw  (16.10m/52’ 10”) at the Stacy Dragila Open throwing a personal best (01/26/24)... finished the season at the Indoor Track and Field Championships finishing 13th in the weight throw (02/24/24)... named to the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.

New Mexico State University (2023): Took part in five meets in her last season with the Aggies… at the TUU Corky Classic finished 12th in the weight throw (15.73m/51’ 7.25”) (01/14/23)... finished 14th in the weight throw at the New Mexico Team Open (01/28/23).

New Mexico State University (2022): Competed in eight meets during the outdoor season, primarily in throws… set a personal best in the shot put at the Willie Williams Classic (03/18/22), taking 10th with a toss of 12.95m… finished 6th in the hammer throw at the Aztec Invitational (03/24/22), setting a personal best with a throw of 46.69m… captured 3rd in the discus toss (40.58m) and 4th in the shot put (12.58m) at the UNM Spring Invitational (04/07/22)… recorded a toss of 44.47m to take 2nd in her flight and set a new personal best in the discus at the Beach Invitational (04/15/22)… took 4th in the hammer throw (38.77m), 5th in the hammer throw (48.28m), and 6th in the shot put (11.87m) at the  Don Kirby Tailwind Open (04/21/22)… closed the season at the 2022 WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (05/14/22), taking 11th in the discus toss (40.42m), 12th in the shot put (12.04m), and 14th in the hammer throw (41.70m).

New Mexico State University (2021): Competed in seven meets for the Aggies in her freshman season... posted a personal best mark of 39.70m in the discus at the WAC Championships... had a season best finish of 5th thanks to a personal best throw of 46.26m in the hammer throw at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational.

Personal: Kait is the daughter of Shelly and George Ward and three brothers, John Chris and Matt. Here at Idaho State, Kait is in her first year of the Doctor of Audiology program. Outside of throwing, she likes to read and do anything outdoors.
