Idaho State Outdoor (2025): Meya Young showcased her versatility during the 2025 outdoor season, competing in sprints, long jump, and relays. At the Bengal Invitational (May 2–3), she achieved a personal best of 12.60 seconds in the 100m dash, placing 11th. She also recorded a season-best in the 200m with a time of 27.49 seconds. In the long jump, Young's top performance was 5.06 meters (16'7.25") at the same meet, securing 10th place. Earlier in the season, she posted a 100m time of 12.86 seconds at the Weber State Spring Classic (April 11) and a long jump mark of 5.02 meters (16'5.75"). Young contributed to the 4x100m relay team, which clocked 49.68 seconds at the Weber State Spring Classic and 49.93 seconds at the Bengal Invitational. Her 100m time of 12.60 seconds ranks 19th on Idaho State's all-time list. athletic.net

Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, Young competed in the 60m, 200m, and long jump events. She achieved a personal best in the 60m dash with a time of 7.85 seconds at the Snake River Open (January 16–17). In the 200m, her season-best was 26.67 seconds, recorded at the Riverfront Invitational (February 1–3). Young's top long jump performance was 5.54 meters (18'2.25") at the Snake River Open,


Idaho State Outdoor (2024): Opened the season finishing 17th in the heptathlon and set a personal best in high jump (1.45m/4’ 9”) at the Klein/Nwaba Combined Events (03/22/24)... was a member of the 4x400m relay that finished 2nd at the Weber State Spring Classic (04/05/24)... recorded a personal best in the 100m hurdles (17.38s) at the Aggie Invitational (04/20/24)... ended the year at the Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championship and finished 7th as a member of the 4x400m relay (05/11/24)...  named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
 
Idaho State Indoor (2023-24): Started her career strong finishing 3rd in long jump with her personal best jump (5.54m/18’ 2.25”) at the Snake River Open (01/12/24)... ran her personal best in the preliminary round of the 55m (7.45s) at the Weber State Invitational (01/20/24)... placed 2nd and ran a personal best in the 60m dash (7.85s) at the Stacy Dragila Open (01/26/24)... in the finals at the Riverfront Invitational & Multis she ran the 200m (26.67s) and  recorded a personal best (02/3/24)... ended the season at the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championship and finished 19th in long jump (5.24m/17’ 2.25”) (02/22/24)... named to the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.

Melba High School: Three-time State Track Champion in multiple events, State Champion (volleyball), two-time State Champion (basketball)

Personal: Meya is the daughter of Marisa and Todd Young and she has a brother, Tharon. Her favorite part about college athletics here at Idaho State is gaining another family away from home. She loves Jesus with all her heart and he is at the center of everything she does! She wouldn’t be in this position without him!
