Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): In her freshman indoor season, Mya Hutchings competed in the high jump at several meets. She achieved a personal best of 1.56 meters (5'1.25") at the Mountain States Games on February 14–15, 2025, placing 11th. Earlier in the season, she cleared 1.55 meters (5'1") at the ISU Winter Open on December 6, 2024, securing 6th place. She also recorded jumps of 1.53 meters (5'0.25") at both the Snake River Open (January 16–17, 2025) and the Stacy Dragila Open (February 7, 2025), finishing 10th and 5th respectively. tfrrs.org

High School: Hutchings is a graduate of Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Wyoming. During her high school career, she achieved personal bests of 5'5" in the high jump, 15'0.25" in the long jump, and 29'4.5" in the triple jump. She also competed in sprints, recording times of 13.99 seconds in the 100m and 28.97 seconds in the 200m.
