Mika Robinson

Robinson enters her third season with Idaho State and her first as associate head coach. The third-year coach helped the Bengals to a fifth-place Big Sky finish in 2005, which marked a third-straight appearance at the Big Sky Conference Tournament for the Bengals. As the recruiting coordinator for the Bengals, she has been responsible for recruiting more than half of the 2007 roster, which includes seven Idaho players. This past June, Robinson was selected to participate in and became a graduate of the 2007 NCAA Women Coaches Academy, which was held at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis. Before arriving at ISU, she was a nationally respected member of the Board of Directors for the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), and she is currently the Big Sky Conference representative to the AVCA Assistant Coaches Committee and a member of the Drills and Skills Committee. Prior to ISU, Robinson spent four years as the head volleyball coach at Buchholz High School, where she led the team to four-straight district championships and one elite eight appearance. In addition, her team received the AVCA Team Academic Award in 2004 and 2005. Robinson also served as the head coach of numerous club teams for the Gainesville Juniors Volleyball Club in Gainesville, Florida. As a collegiate player, Robinson played volleyball for Harvard University, where she was a four-year letterwinner at setter and defensive specialist and was a team captain during her senior season. Robinson is a 1996 graduate of Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology. In 2006, she received her Master's in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University. Robinson and her husband, Clint, have one daughter, Bryce and a son, Clay.
