Sammi Stuart is entering her 4^th season at Idaho State University. She was hired as head coach in April of 2019. Making her 10^th head coach in Idaho State volleyball history.

She comes to Pocatello after spending four years as an assistant coach at Utah State University. During her time there, she was able to participate as a coach of the Mountain West All-Stars that finished 2^nd in the 2017 European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia.

Prior to her career at Utah State, she was an assistant coach at Arizona State from 2008-2015.  During her seven years at ASU she was part of a coaching staff that helped transform ASU volleyball from a sub-.500 program into a postseason regular. In her last three seasons, the Sun Devils averaged more than 19 wins per season and three consecutive bids to the NCAA Tournament.

From 2006-2008 Stuart was the Director of Volleyball Operations with Brigham Young University. During her two years with the Cougars they made two trips to the NCAA Tournament, and in 2007 helped the team make it to an Elite 8 finish. The Cougars were ranked as high at 12^th in the Nation during the 2007 season.

Stuart is a graduate of Utah State University, where she was a member of the Aggie women’s basketball team from 2003-2005. 2003 was the first year that Utah State brought the women’s basketball program back following a 25 year hiatus.
