Bio:
Rodewald (a.k.a. “Brodey”) was Promoted to the Director of Olympic Sports Performance in the Fall of 2024. He will be entering his fifth year here at Idaho State after serving as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning the previous four years.
In his role, Rodewald oversees the Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Golf program. During his time here at ISU Rodewald has also overseen nearly every other program at some point and has assisted with Men’s Basketball and Softball.
Idaho State Coaching Career Highlights (Jul 2021-Present):
Prior to his hiring he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Western Colorado University graduating with a master’s degree in High Altitude Exercise Physiology.
As an athlete Rodewald competed for Western Colorado University from 2012-2015. Rodewald was the 2015 RMAC decathlon champion earning 1st team All-RMAC awards and 2nd Team All-RMAC in the Heptathlon. In 2015 Rodewald also won a Men’s team RMAC title both indoor and outdoor.
Rodewald is originally from Denver, Colorado and has two sons Isaiah and Roman.
