Bio:

LeGrand (a.k.a. “LG”) was hired as the new Assistant Sports Performance Coach at the beginning of 2025 and is stepping into his first Full-Time position as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.

 

In his role at ISU LeGrand assists with day to day operations of the football strength staff as well as leads the programming for Track and Field.

Prior to being hired at Idaho State, LeGrand served as a Graduate Assistant for the football team at the University of Missouri during the ‘23 and ‘24 seasons. While working as a GA LeGrand obtained his Master degree in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership.

Prior to LeGrand’s coaching career he attended Auburn University. While attending Auburn LeGrand played for the university’s rugby team where he achieved a top 100 National Player Ranking and led his team to a D2 National Championship over Montana State. After his stint with the Rugby team, LeGrand walked-on as a linebacker to the Auburn Football team for the ‘22 season where he was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll before graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in fitness, conditioning, and performance with a minor in sports coaching.

 

Before his time at Auburn University LeGrand served 5 years with the United States Marine Corps (2013-2018). During his time of service he earned the rank of E-5/Sergeant working both in the PRP Security Detail Program and as a Infantry Rifleman. Working in a Marine Corps Infantry Unit and in conjunction with Combined Anti-Armor units.
