Lexie Stapleton

Lexie was hired in the spring semester of 2025. She is coming to Idaho State from Miami University after getting her Master of Science in Sports Leadership and Management.  

During her masters program, Stapleton was working as a teacher assistant where she was responsible for monitoring the participation, engagement, and attendance of student-athletes. Along with her masters, she also earned her graduate certification in Sports Psychology. 

Before starting her masters, she worked as a CHAMPS Program Assistant where she led oversight of Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) groups for Children ages five to twelve. During this job, she utilized crisis de-escalation techniques, behavior support, and management techniques to facilitate group and individual participant behavior. 

Before that, in 2022 she served as a basketball trainer and coach where she was responsible for instructing and educating student-athletes. Stapleton also gave insight on the mental perspective if needed, to help create solutions to enhance performance for athletes! 

In May of 2022, Alexis graduated from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology. She also played on the basketball team from 2018-2022!

  • Mental Health First Aid Certification – October 2024 
  • Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) CPR – January 2024
