POCATELLO, Idaho- All year Tavoy Moore, David Harrington and A.J. Storms were one of the top players at their respective positions in the country and the Big Sky Conference. Storms finished the year averaging 13.27 tackles a game, the top mark in the country and conference while Moore finished ranked No. 2 in the country in punt returns and first in the Big Sky and fourth in the country in all-purpose yards and second in the Big Sky at 184.91 yards a contest.
The success Moore and Storms had on the field earned them first-team All-Big Sky honors. Moore was a unanimous selection while Storms is a two-time first-team all-conference selection. Sean Rutten earned second-team All-Big Sky honors while Mitch Rudder (offensive tackle), Jordan Monga (defensive tackle), Basim Hudeen (inside linebacker) and Chris Holmesly (safety) earned honorable mention All-Big Sky accolades.
Moore became the first player in Big Sky history to return a kickoff and punt return back for a touchdown in the same game in two different contests. Against Northern Colorado he set a school record for all-purpose yards with 318 as he had a 91-yard kickoff return and an 81-yard punt return for a touchdown. Then, against Montana he broke his own record with 323 all-purpose yards, including a 100-yard kickoff and an 84-yard punt return. He returned 15 punts for 275 yards and 45 kickoffs for 1,086 yards.
Storms recorded double figure tackles in eight of 11 games this year. He had a career-high 20 tackles at Utah State and Montana then had 18 tackles at Eastern Washington and 16 at Georgia. The Bengal linebacker led ISU in tackles with 146, 63 being unassisted, 10 tackles for losses and three pass breakups.
Harrington led the Big Sky and one was one of the nation's top punters all season as he averaged 44.3 yards a punt with a season-long 60 yarder. He had 13 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line and he had 20 punts of 50-yards or more. Overall he had 69 punts for 3,060 yards.
Rutten had 45 tackles on the year, including a team- best five sacks. He had four at Northern Colorado and one at Georgia. He had a season-best 11 tackle at Northern Colorado. This year was the first-time Rutten has earned an all-conference honor.
