Women's Basketball Signs Sai Tapasa

POCATELLO, Idaho-
The Idaho State women's basketball program has announced the signing of Sai Tapasa from Central High School in Monmouth, Oregon. Tapasa is a 6'2 forward who averaged eight points and eight rebounds a game as a senior. She also averaged two steals a game and shot 76 percent from the free throw line and 54 percent from the field.

"We feel that Sai is a great get in the late signing period," Idaho State women's basketball coach Seton Sobolewski said. "She is a 6'2 well-built forward who will be a good player once she adapts to the Division I level. Sai is a perfect fit for us on many levels and we look forward to working with her starting this summer."

Tapasa lettered four years in basketball while leading her team to the state playoffs. She also lettered in volleyball where Central High School advanced to the state tournament twice and track and field.

She was very involved in her high school. Along with playing basketball and volleyball she was a first-team academic all-star as a junior. She was involved with the Community Service Club and she was the Interact Club secratery.

Tapasa competed on the Oregon Elite AAU team with Jenna Morch.

She has four sisters and her parents are Solomona and Joanna. Solomona is an assistant football coach at Sacramento State.
