Daytona Beach, FL --- The Idaho State University Bengal Dancers
Just missed another national title, finishing second at the 2007 National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Championship held in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Bengal Dancers have been attending the NDA Championship since 1999, and took home second place for the third consecutive year.
The cheerleaders also joined the dancers at the NDAs, and they finished 11th out of 17 in the Division I Small Coed Division. The Bengal Dancer's took their second place award out of 19 teams in the Division I Dance category.
The Bengal Dancers finished second to Towson University, who have now won eight times in a row. ISU was trying to add another championship on the season as earlier this year the Bengal Dancers took home the United Spirit Association (USA) National Hip Hop Championship.
The Bengal Dancers are coached by Hilary Hofmaier and assisted by Lindsay Tucker and the cheerleaders are coached by Nicole Clifford. Tryouts for the 2007-2008 ISU Bengal Dancers are set for Saturday April 21st from 9 am-6 pm in dance room 208 of Reed Gym and tryouts for the ISU Cheerleaders are set for Saturday April 28th from 9 am-6 pm in gym 101 of Reed Gym.
