Big Sky Golf Championships: Final Results 
Chandler, AZ --- Sophomore Kylie Smith carded a 75 in the third round of the Big Sky Golf Championships on Wednesday at Ocotillo Golf Resort, the lowest round shot by an Idaho State player during the 2008-09 season.
Overall, the Bengals trimmed a whopping 34 shots off their score at the Cowgirl Classic, held April 6-7 at the same golf course. Idaho State finished with 986 strokes, as all five players recorded better scores this week than two weeks ago.
Smith and junior Katie Phillips each finished with 240 shots, 24-over par and tied for 23rd place with two Portland State players. Phillips had the largest improvement of all ISU players, dropping 16 shots off her score from the Cowgirl Classic.
Sadie Venn, who opened the tournament with a 79 on Monday, finished with 249 strokes and tied for 37th. Ally Hall finished 43rd with 259 shots, and Amanda Hendricks took 44th, shooting a 262.
As a team, the Bengals finished ninth, 20 shots behind Eastern Washington. Northern Arizona won its record sixth Big Sky golf title, finishing six strokes aheada of runner-up Sacramento State. Northern Colorado's Ali Nelson won the individual title, shooting a 222 to finish three shots ahead of Weber State's Emily Copier and Northern Arizona's Alexa Kim.
