Bengals Travel to ‘Jacks and Bears

POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State (13-10, 5-5 BSC) is tied for fourth place in the conference rankings with Sacramento State, both holding a .500 record.  The Bengals travel to play Northern Colorado on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. then head to Flagstaff to play at Northern Arizona on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.  Live stats and video through BigSkyTV will be available for both contests.

 

Senior Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse is nine points away from recording 1,000 career points at Idaho State.  Bartschi-Rhodehouse will become the 15th Bengal to reach 1,000 career points since 1985.  She currently averages 3.14 points per set.

 

Haylee Thompson-Brock, a senior outside hitter, leads the Bengals with 3.53 kills per set in league play.  Junior Jaclyn Hone is the only Bengal to average over two kills (2.65) and three digs (3.08) per set in conference action.  She also leads the Bengals in service aces with 18 for the season.  ISU's senior libero Jenna Proost averages 3.72 digs per set for the season.

 

Northern Colorado leads the series record 11-1 having edged out the Bengals in five sets during the last meeting at Reed Gym.  ISU's only victory over the Bears was a 2-1 contest at a Brigham Young Tournament in 1982.  ISU is 0-5 on the road against Northern Colorado.

 

Idaho State leads Northern Arizona 29-26 with the Bengals on a three-game win streak.  ISU captured the last three meetings in four sets.  The Bengals are 9-16 on the road against Northern Arizona.
