POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State rolled through its first two sets before falling in five (24-26, 17-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-12) to Big Sky Conference leader Northern Colorado on Thursday night. Idaho State maintained a .312 attack percentage in the first two sets.

Idaho State's defensive effort propelled the Bengals past Northern Colorado in the first two sets keeping alive numerous balls. Senior libero
Jenna Proost recorded her third 20-plus dig match of the season with a career and match-high 27 digs.
Breanne Van Every chipped in 11 digs. Idaho State tallied a season-high 81 digs against the Bears.
Northern Colorado made its adjustments after the break, hitting an attack percentage as high as .429 in the fourth set. The Bear's front row defensive effort also increased after the break matching the Bengals effort with three in the third set, then out-blocking ISU 5-0 in the fourth and fifth sets.
Kelley Arnold posted a match-high 18 kills for the night. She also posted a match-high three service aces. Julie Stephenson notched 17 kills, followed by Brittany Crenshaw with 12 and Ashley Licenberg with 11. Amanda Arterburn lead the Bears with 26 digs.
Northern Colorado improved to 18-5 for the season, 9-1 in league action, while Idaho State fell to 13-11 for the season and 5-6 in Big Sky play.
The Bengals return to the court on Saturday, October 30 at Northern Arizona. The contest begins at 7 p.m.
