Idaho State on to Big Sky Volleyball Championship

No. 3 seed Bengals will face No. 2 seed Northern Colorado

Idaho State makes its first Big Sky Volleyball Championship apperance since 2005.
Match Notes: Big Sky Championship

POCATELLO, Idaho
- Idaho State (18-12, 9-7 BSC) travels to Portland State University this week for the Big Sky Volleyball Championship. The Bengals enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 2 seed Northern Colorado at the Stott Center at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26. If the Bengals advance to the next round they will face the winner of the No. 1 Portland State and No. 4 Montana match-up occuring Friday at 7:30 p.m. or 30 minutes after the ISU vs. Northern Colorado match.

BARTSCHI-RHODEHOUSE REACHES CAREER 1,000 POINTS
Senior middle blocker Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse became the 15th Bengal in program history to reach 1,000 career points. She accomplished her feat in ISU's five-set match at Northern Colorado recording 11 kills and posting three block assists. She currently sits in 12th place with 1,077 points notching 888 kills, 65 service aces and 231 total blocks.

THOMPSON-BROCK KEEPS ROLLING
Senior outside hitter Haylee Thompson-Brock is on a seven match double-figure kill streak, tying her longest consecutive streak of the season. She posted a career-high 23 kills at Brigham Young in a five set loss.

PROOST LEADS BENGALS DEFENSIVE EFFORTS
Senior libero Jenna Proost has posted nine double-figure dig matches in ISU's last 10 contests. Proost posted a career high 27 digs at Northern Colorado in five sets.

BENGAL STAND-OUTS
Haylee Thompson-Brock, a senior outside hitter, leads the Bengals with 3.57 kills per set in league action. Junior Jaclyn Hone is the only Bengal to average over two kills (2.54) and three digs (3.13) per set in conference play. Hone leads the Bengals with 25 service aces for the season. ISU's senior libero Jenna Proost averages 4.08 digs per set in Big Sky action. Junior setter Karissa Legaux leads the Bengals averaging 10.26 assists per set in league action. Senior Sarah Carson leads the Bengals in front line defense averaging 0.92 blocks per set in conference play. She has posted 58 blocks in league action, 96 over the season.

SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING AGAINST THE BEARS
Northern Colorado leads the series 10-1 and won the previous two tight match-ups against the Bengals this season. The Bears first defeated ISU Saturday, Sept. 18, 3-2. The Bengals took the match to five sets once again in Greeley, Colo., falling to the Bears 24-26, 17-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-12.
