Bengals Honor Four Seniors on Saturday

BENGAL ACTION THIS WEEK

Idaho State (14-11, 6-6 BSC) hosts its final home matches of the season on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. against UTPA (7-15, 4-5 GWC) and Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. against Sacramento State (12-13, 5-5 BSC) where the Bengals will honor their four seniors: Sarah Carson, Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse, Jenna Proost and Haylee Thompson-Brock.  Live stats can be found at www.isubengals.com and video of the matches are available at www.BigSkyTV.org.

BENGAL VOLLEYBALL TICKETS
Tickets are available for fans by calling the ticket office at (208) 282-FANS or online at ISU's web page at www.isubengals.com.  Tickets can also be purchased at the Reed Gym ticket booth one hour before start. All ISU volleyball games are general admission seating. Tickets are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 4-12 and seniors.  ISU students who present a valid Bengal ID card can enter for free.

BARTSCHI-RHODEHOUSE REACHES CAREER 1,000 POINTS
Senior middle blocker Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse became the 15th Bengal in program history to reach 1,000 career points.  She accomplished her feat in ISU's five set match at Northern Colorado recording 11 kills and posting three block assists.  She currently sits in 14th place with 1,016 points notching 841 kills,  63 service aces and 207 total blocks.

SENIOR DAY FOR FOUR BENGALS
Idaho State has four seniors competing in their final home contests of their careers at Reed Gym against Sacramento State on Saturday.  Senior middle blocker Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse just reached 1,000 career points in ISU's five set match against Northern Colorado last weekend.  She is the 15th Bengal since 1985 to reach 1,000 career points.  She stands at 1,016 already improving to the 14th best mark with 841 kills, 63 service aces and 207 total blocks.  Senior middle blocker Sarah Carson has posted 340 blocks over her career for the ninth best mark in school history.  She has maintained a .257 attack percentage throughout her career to hold the fourth best accuracy at Idaho State in program history.  She has amassed 902 points, 694 kills and 24 service aces over her career.  Senior libero Jenna Proost posted a career-high 27 digs in ISU's five set match against Northern Colorado last weekend.  She has dug up 682 balls in her career as well as posting 46 service aces.  Senior outside hitter Haylee Thompson-Brock, who joined the Bengals as a junior college transfer from Scottsdale last season, has already recorded 591 kills, 217 digs and 83 total blocks in her career as a Bengal.

BENGAL STAND-OUTS
Haylee Thompson-Brock, a senior outside hitter, leads the Bengals with 3.44 kills per set in league play.  Junior Jaclyn Hone is the only Bengal to average over two kills (2.79) and three digs (3.04) per set in conference action.  Hone and Thompson-Brock lead the Bengals with 18 service aces for the season.  ISU's senior libero Jenna Proost averages 3.77 digs per set for the season.  ISU's freshman setter Lori Mendenhall averages 8.79 assists per set.  Senior Sarah Carson leads the Bengals in front line defense averaging 0.98 blocks per set.  She has posted 47 blocks in league action, 85 over the season.

SERIES AND LAST MEETING AGAINST UTPA
Idaho State leads the series 3-0, with ISU capturing the last meeting earlier this season in ISU's first contest of the year.  The Bengals opened with a 25-16, 25-16, 25-11 victory over the Broncs before overcoming Oral Roberts in five sets and Lamar in four to capture the Texas Pan American Tournament title.  The title was ISU's second straight season opening tournament title as the Bengals won the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic defeating South Dakota State, Rutgers and Wyoming.  Idaho State went on to post a 4-0 start to the season, the Bengals best start since 1995.

SERIES AND LAST MEETING AGAINST SAC
Sacramento State leads the series 26-4.  ISU fell to the Hornets in five sets earlier this season.  The Bengals post a 3-12 home record against the Hornets.  ISU's last home victory was a four set decision in 2004.
