ATHENS, Georgia- The much anticipated trip to Georgia is finally here. The Bengals, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Mountain Time, play at the 92,746 Sanford Stadium, the largest venue ISU has ever played in. The game can be seen live on ESPN 3 or by listening to Jerry Miller and Quinton Freeman on 930 AM KSEI.
The team met at Pocatello Regional Airport at 6:30 a.m. this morning to prepare for the charter flight to Atlanta. The flight actually pulled out at around 8 a.m. and the just over three hour flight touched down in Atlanta a little after 2 p.m.
The team hotel is the Marriott Gwinnett Place in Duluth, just over an hour bus ride from Atlanta. The team had about 20 minutes to get checked in and drop their stuff off in their room before getting back on the bus and heading to walk through at Sanford Stadium.
The bus ride was another hour but on arriving to the stadium the players, coaches and boosters who were there pulled out their cameras and immediately started taking pictures. The team had a good 20 minutes to take pictures around the stadium before going through walk through preparation for tomorrow afternoon's contest.
The team returned to the hotel at 7:30 p.m. and had dinner and then went into team meetings the rest of the evening.
The team will have pregame meal at 8 a.m. on Saturday and then board the bus at 8:50 a.m. to head to the stadium. Following the contest the team will bus back to Atlanta where they will board the charter flight back to Pocatello.
