BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State improved to 13-11 and 6-6 in Big Sky Conference play to recapture fifth place in the conference after defeating Sacramento State 3-2 last Saturday. The Bengals take on Northern Colorado (17-8, 10-3 BSC) and Northern Arizona (15-7, 6-7 BSC) this week. The Bengals swept both teams on the road in October. Northern Colorado is currently the top team in the conference while NAU is tied for sixth with Montana. Both matches begain at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.

LAST WEEK IN BENGAL VOLLEYBALL
Idaho State defeated Sacramento State 3-2 Saturday, Nov. 5. The Bengal win over the Bears is just the sixth overall in program history in the series between the two schools.
Breanne Van Every recorded her ninth double-double of the season during the match, notching 10 kills and 14 digs. Van Every also recorded her 18th match of the season where she tallied double-figure kills. Danielle Down posted 16 digs and three aces on the night, both season-highs.
Katie Grajewski posted a career-high 40 digs in the match. Whitney Bartschi led the Bengals with 13 kills and
Karissa Legaux put up a season-high 48 assists.
SENIOR DAY FOR TWO BENGALS
Idaho State has two seniors competing in the final home contests of their careers at Reed Gym against Northern Arizona Saturday. Senior setter
Karissa Legaux is ranked fifth all-time in career assists, amassing 2,275 over her four seasons with the Bengals, averaging 8.47 assists per set. She has played in 259 total sets and 87 matches. She has tallied five career double-doubles, 68 double-figure assist matches, six 40+ assist matches and five double-figure dig matches as a Bengal. She recorded a career-high 65 assists against Northern Colorado in October of 2009. Senior middle blocker
Vanessa Muir transferred to ISU from Casper College last season. Over two campaigns with the Bengals, Muir has amassed 10 double-figure kill performances and 254.5 points. She recorded her first career double-double with 10 kills and 10 blocks in the Bengals' five-set victory over Northern Colorado this season, the second in program history and first in Greeley. She leads the Bengals for the 2011 season with the highest single match attack percentage with .625 as well as single match blocks with 10.
BENGAL STAND-OUT: VAN EVERY
Junior outside hitter and defensive specialist
Breanne Van Every continued to lead the Bengals last week as she recorded her ninth double-double of the season with a 10 kills and 14 digs against the Hornets. Van Every also recorded her 18th match of the season where she tallied double-figure kills. Van Every scored 13 points against the Hornets. Van Every holds the third best kill average in the conference with 3.35 kills per set and third most points in conference play having earned 358.5.

Sophomore setter Lori Mendenhall averages 9.37 assists per set in conference play for the third most in Big Sky action. MUIR DOUBLES DOWN
In the first match against Northern Colorado, this season three Bengals were one dig shy of a double-double performance with
Breanne Van Every recording 22 kills, Lori Mendenhall with 43 assists and
Danielle Downs with 10 kills. However, senior middle blocker
Vanessa Muir earned her first career double-double another way. She had 10 kills and a career-high 10 blocks in ISU's five set win over the Bears.
YOUNG BENGALS STEP-UP FOR ISU AND TOP THE BIG SKY
Lori Mendenhall leads all sophomores with 9.37 assists for the season while Kylee Searle leads all freshman for digs (4.59) and aces (.28) for the season and in Big Sky action (5.15 dps, 0.27 aps). Mendenhall has already recorded 21 double-figure assist matches while Searle has posted 20 double-figure digs.
TEICHERT CAPTURES 50TH HEAD COACH VICTORY AGAINST 'JACKS
Idaho State Head Coach
Chad Teichert captured his 50th career victory in a four set match at Northern Arizona on Oct. 13 improving his record to 50-54. Teichert began his collegiate coaching career with the Bengals in 2008 and each year ISU has improved. In his first season, he led ISU to a 10-match win season; the first since 2006. In his second season, the Bengals posted a 13-15 season record. Last season, the Bengals finished third in the conference with a 9-7 record, reaching the conference tournament for the first time since 2005 when it was a six-team event. The overall record for the Bengals was 18-13, Teichert's first winning record as a head coach and ISU's first winning record since 2003.
FIELDS STEPS UP PLAY IN CONFERENCE
Freshman outside hitter Alydia Fields posts the second best mark at 2.19 kills per set on the Bengal squad in league action. She has posted all six of her double-figure kill matches in conference play. Against Northern Arizona, Fields posted a match-high 14 kills while maintaining a .344 attack percentage.
ABOUT NORTHERN COLORADO
Northern Colorado posts a 17-8, 10-3 Big Sky Conference record for the season. The Bears are currently in first place in the conference. As a team, Northern Arizona leads the conference in hitting percentage (.237), assists (13.33 a/s) and kills (14.06 k/s). Kelly Arnold leads the Bears as well as the conference in kills (3.87) and points (421). Marissa Hughes leads the assist effort for Northern Colorado as well as the Big sky with 10.88 assists per set. Amanda Arterburn leads in digs for the Bears and is ranked second in the conference with 5.04 digs per set. The Bears are on a four-match win streak.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE BEARS
Northern Colorado currently leads the series 13-2. Idaho State earned its second program victory over the Bears and handed NC it's only conference home loss of the season in a 3-2 upset Oct. 15. It was also ISU's first program victory in Greeley and the first win against the Bears in 29 years. Junior outside hitter

ABOUT NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona posts a record of 15-7, 6-7 BSC for the season. Kobi Christensen leads the Lumberjacks in kills (3.11). Marissa Hughes leads the dig effort for Northern Arizona with 4.60 digs per set. The Lumberjacks are on a two-match losing streak after dropping match-ups to Eastern Washington (2-3) and Portland State (1-3).

Idaho State currently leads the series 31-26. Idaho State defeated NAU 3-1 on Oct. 13. Lori Mendenhall,

Danielle Downs each recorded a double-double. Mendenhall posted 47 assists and 11 digs while Van Every had 11 kills and 10 digs. Downs notched 10 kills and 10 digs. Idaho State posted a .212 attack percentage and outblocked Northern Arizona 9-to-7. The Bengals held the 'Jacks to a .120 hitting percentage. NAU had 10 service errors.
