The Bengal Athletic Department is offering a Holiday Stocking Stuffer Big Sky Conference 4-Pack. For $50 you can get a ticket to men's games vs. Northern Arizona (Jan. 21), Portland State (Feb. 9), Eastern Washington (Feb. 23) and a game of your choice. For $25 fans get a women's ticket four-pack for contests against Northern Colorado (Jan. 2), Portland State (Jan. 16) Eastern Washington (March 3) and a game of your choice. The 4-Pack must be purchased by Dec. 23.
SERIES INFO VS. WYOMING
Wyoming leads the overall series 11-8. The Cowboys have won the last four meetings with the most recent contest being an 89-83 defeat in Pocatello on Jan. 3, 2000. The last time the Bengals defeated Wyoming was a 70-62 win at ISU on Dec. 21, 1985. The last win in Laramie was a 79-78 overtime win on Dec. 3, 1973.
SCOUTING WYOMING
Wyoming is 11-2 and coming off a 57-46 loss at Denver on Dec. 19. The Cowboys are averaging 65.1 points a game and shooting 46.1 percent from the field. Luke Martinez and Francisco Cruz are both averaging 12.2 points a game while Leona Washington is netting 11.5 points and 6.2 rebounds a contest.
BENGALS VS. MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE
Idaho State is 1-13 against schools from the Mountain West Conference, with a majority of the games against BYU and Utah. The Bengals are 0-6 against BYU and 0-5 against Utah since the MWC formed in 1999. ISU is also 0-1 against New Mexico, Boise State and Wyoming.
O'BRIEN RESIGNS; MARTIN NAMED INTERIM HEAD COACH
On Monday, Dec. 19, Idaho State Head Coach Joe O'Brien announced his resignation as coach of the Bengals effective immediately. Assistant coach Deane Martin was named Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season. O'Brien was named head coach in 2006. This is Martin's first year at Idaho State.
THE WEEK THAT WAS
In the Bengals only game of the week, ISU dropped a 71-59 decision at Utah on Friday, Dec. 16. ISU led for nearly the first 30 minutes of the game but Utah went on a 20-5 run late to seal the win.
Chase Grabau scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and had four assists and three steals. ISU shot 39.6 percent from the field.
