OGDEN, Utah – A dismal shooting night, 29.6 percent from the field, handed Idaho State (16-10, 7-6 BSC) its first overtime loss of the season to Weber State (6-19, 2-11 BSC) 66-61in overtime snapping the Wildcats eight game losing streak. With the loss and a Northern Arizona win over Sacramento State, the Bengals arestill on the hunt for a victory to earn a post season berth.
“We had more offensive rebounds than they did, more assists, more blocked shots, more steals, less turnovers, but unfortunately in the most important category we struggled which was shooting. The ball would not go in,” said Head Coach Seton Sobolewski.
Senior guard Chelsea Pickering scored a game-high 16 points hitting 5-of-19 from the field. She also recorded a game-high five steals and pulled down five rebounds. Both Kaela Oakes and Lindsey Reed scored 13 points but Reed recorded her first career double-double with 10 rebounds. It is ISU's fourth double-double of the season.

Sophomore guard Oakes led ISU in the first half with eight points making five of her digits from the free throw line. Even though ISU out-rebounded the Wildcats 12-to-5 on offensive boards Weber State outscored the Bengals 8-to-5 on the second chance points.
The tides turned in the second half where the Bengals shot 40.7 percent from the field while holding Weber State to 29.2 percent. ISU held a three point lead with 5 minutes remaining on a Kara Jenkins deep baseline jumper but Weber State would regain the lead by one when Amanda Hughes put up a 2-of-2 effort with 2:12 remaining. Caitlin Anderson added to the difference with her 2-of-2 effort at the line with 54 seconds remaining giving Weber State a 56-53 lead.
Pickering and Reed had three-point attempts that did not fall for the Bengals. Anderson returned to the line after she was fouled to stop the clock.
