Saint Mary's Box Score
POCATELLO, Idaho- The offense pounded out16 hits and the pitchers gave up only one earned run but the Idaho State softball still dropped two games to CSU Bakersfield, 5-3 and Saint Mary's 6-3 on Saturday in the PCSC Crossover tournament at Sacramento State.
The difference in the two games was the Bengal defense combined to commit nine errors on the day.
“
Brittany Olsin continues to play well,” ISU softball coach
Julie Wright said. “Our defense was terrible and we played as if winning didn't matter. Both (Kandis) Clesson and (Christina) Rayner did a great job in the circle only giving up one earned run a piece. We did nothing to help them.”
Olsin had a homerun against CSU Bakersfield.
Courtney Hancock and
Christina Rayner also had impressive outings offensively as Hancock was 3-for-4 with 1 RBI and Rayner was 3-for-6 with an RBI on the day.
Rayner and Clesson both pitched complete games and allowed only one earned run in each game.
