POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team dropped two games on the third day of the Fresno State Bayer Crop Science Classic on Saturday, losing 8-1 to Drake and 4-2 to Bradley. The Bengals are now 5-14.

In the morning game against Drake, the Bengals managed only two hits in the loss. The run came in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Desirae Hoffman that scored Ashley Moeller.

Drake scored its eight runs on 14 hits while the Bengals committed two errors in the field.

Against Bradley, ISU led 2-1 after the fourth inning thanks to a two-run blast by Amanda Fitzsimmons over the center field fence. Bradley countered with three runs in the fifth and fended off a Bengal rally as they had the tying run at the plate with only one out in the seventh. But the Braves retired the next two batters to seal the win.

Idaho State closes out the Bayer Crop Science Classic on Sunday morning with a 10 a.m. contest against Bradley.
