LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – Sophomore
Nate Gross swept his doubles and singles contests at Portland State where the Bengals fell 6-1 on Friday night at the Mountain Park Racquet Club. Gross' victory in singles earned the Bengal his 10th win of the season.
Gross teamed up with partner
Colton Pate to defeat Nick Fracchia and Vetu Mam 8-6 at the No. 3 position. Gross and Colton improved their record to 4-4 for the season at the No. 3 spot.
In singles, Gross easily overtook Fracchia 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 4 position to improve Gross' record to 10-5 for the season, which leads the Bengals. Gross owns a 6-4 record at the No. 4 spot alone.
Idaho State fell to 0-4 in league play and 3-12 for the season while Portland State improved to 2-3 in Big Sky action and 5-8 for the season.
Idaho State travels to Bozeman on Friday, April 8 to play Montana State.
