Pocatello, Idaho- Idaho State plays its first home game of the 2011 season on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 4 p.m. at Holt Arena. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Day as ICCU is giving away free ticket vouchers at all Southeastern Idaho locations. ICCU is also giving away 5,000 free shirts at the door. Those that purchase tickets can get tickets for half off and if they become a fan of the Idaho State Facebook page they can print off a voucher for $6 tickets.
HALL OF FAME/1981 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PROMOTION
Fans have an opportunity to purchase a ticket to the Sept. 17 Hall of Fame game vs. Northern Colorado and the Homcoming game on Oct. 1 vs. Portland State for $19.81. This year is the 30-year reunion of the 1981 National Championship team. That team will be honored at Homecoming.
SERIES INFO VS. WESTERN STATE
Idaho State leads the overall series 18-7-1. This is the first meeting between the two schools since 1962, which resulted in a 17-16 loss at Western State. The two schools met every year between 1946-62.
BENGALS IN HOME OPENERS
In the last 25 years the Bengals are 18-7 in home openers. The 2010 home-opening win over Montana Western was the first home opener win since a win over Southern Oregon in 2007.
RUMBLE ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD

Rodrick Rumble turned in a career and record breaking performance on Saturday at Washington State, catching 10 balls for 218 yards. The performance was the third best single-game mark in Idaho State football history. Rumble's previous career-high was five receptions for 89 against Sacramento State last year. The top single game performance for a receiver is Ed Bell, who had 261 receiving yards vs. Parsons in 1969.
YOST SEASON OPENING MARKS
Kevin Yost's 386 passing yards at Washington State tied for the 17th best single-game performance by a quarterback in Idaho State history. Yost completed 32 passes on 45 attempts with one touchdown and one interception. Mark Hetherington also threw for 386 yards in 2003 against Eastern Washington.

Justin Arias, the Bengals threw for 430 yards. The two quarterbacks combined to finish the season opener at Washington State 38-for-54 with one touchdown and one interception. The 430 passing yards is the most for the Bengals in a game since Nov. 6, 2004 when Matt Hagler, Mark Hetherington and Jeff Davenport combined to throw for 465 yards against Portland State. The quarterback trio completed 43 passes on 79 attempts with four interceptions and three touchdowns.
