POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team begins the 2012 season with a home match against Utah State Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Reed Gym indoor courts. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.

The Bengals return three veterans to the squad this season with seniors Dan Buckingham (Boise, Idaho) and Dakota Pate (Henderson, Nev.). Junior Nate Gross (Sebastopol, Calif.) also returns after a 2011 season where he went 13-6 overall and 5-3 in conference match-ups.

Idaho State welcomes three new players for the upcoming season. Freshmen Andres Coello (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Austin Miller (Eagle, Idaho) join the squad this year as well as junior transfer Charles Norman (Durban, South Africa).

The 2012 men's schedule features nine home matches and seven away match-ups. This month ISU faces Utah State (1/17), Weber State (1/25) and Montana (1/27) all at home. The Bengals open up the February portion of the season on the road at BYU (2/3). The Bengals will spend spring break on the annual Las Vegas trip where the team will face Seattle (3/23), Western New Mexico (3/24), Weber State (3/25) and UC Riverside (3/26).
