BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State volleyball (16-5, 10-2 BSC) is tied for second place in the conference with Northern Arizona (18-3, 10-2 BSC). This week the Bengals continue their road stretch with contests against North Dakota (11-12, 6-6 BSC) and Northern Colorado (15-6, 8-4 BSC). ISU plays UND Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Grand Forks, N.D. The Bengals then face the Bears Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7p.m. in Greeley, Colo.
ABOUT IDAHO STATE
The Bengals are 16-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play on the season after splitting on the road with Southern Utah and Northern Arizona last week. Redshirt freshman outside hitter

As a team, the Bengals are leading the conference in assists (13.11), kills (13.91) and hitting percentage (.245).
Nationally, the Bengals are ranked 34th in assists per set, 35th in win-loss percentage, 41st in kills per set, 45th in hitting percentage, 59th in aces per set and 63rd in blocks per set. Mendenhall is 21st in the nation individually in assists per set.
LAST WEEK IN BENGAL VOLLEYBALL
Last week Idaho State split with Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. The Bengals defeated the Thunderbirds 3-1 Thursday. Redshirt freshman
Tressa Lyman recorded her seventh double-double of the season as she led Idaho State with a team-high 15 kills and 11 digs. Lyman also had one assist, two service aces and two blocks. The Bengals lost to NAU in Flagstaff, Ariz., 3-1 Saturday night. Three Bengals posted double-doubles:

HONE-HAWKINS CLOSING IN ON CAREER 1,000s

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has broken the 1,000-point barrier as she has now tallied 1,045.5 points throughout her career. Hone-Hawkins also has 958 total digs, 42 away from 1,000. She also has 876 total kills. To become a member of the triple crown club, a player needs 1,000 points, 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills.
BENGAL STANDOUT: LORI MENDENHALL
So far this season, junior setter Lori Mendenhall has been named Big Sky Player of the Week twice (9/17 and 9/10). After leading ISU to a Kesier Classic title, she was also named tournament MVP. Against NAU (9/14), Mendenhall recorded a career-high 62 assists on her way to a double-double with 12 digs. So far this season she has recorded 916 total assists as well as 72 kills, 16 service aces, 209 digs and 35 blocks.
VAN EVERY NAMED SENIOR CLASS AWARD CANDIDATE

Breanne Van Every was selected as a candidate for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award. Van Every was of 30 candidates selected from Division I teams nationwide. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA
North Dakota is 11-12 overall and 6-8 in Big Sky action. UND is 5-4 at home this season and is on a one-match losing streak after a 3-2 loss to Montana State last weekend. Lexi Robison is UND's top attacker, averaging 3.45 kills per set while North Dakota is led by Lauren Clarke on defense as she averages 4.27 digs per set. Nikki Husfeldt leads in assists (10.96/set), Ronni Munkeby leads in blocks (85) and Felicia Ulrich leads in service aces (29).

Idaho State leads the series 1-0. The Bengals won the first meeting between the two programs 3-1 in Pocatello Sept. 22, 2012.
ABOUT NORTHERN COLORADO
Northern Colorado is 15-6 on the season and 8-4 in Big Sky play. The Bears are 8-3 at home this season and are on a one-match losing skid after a 3-1 loss at Montana last weekend. Kelly Arnold leads NC in kills, averaging 3.41 per set while Marissa Hughes leads the assist effort with 10.77 per set. Merideth Johson is the top defender for the Bears with 4.06 digs per set. She also leads in service aces with 23 on the season. Andrea Spaustat is NC's top blocker with 79 total this year.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE BEARS
The Bears lead the all-time record 14-3. The Bengals won the last contest 3-2 in Pocatello on Sept. 21, 2012. Idaho State is 1-6 in Greeley, Colo., and the last ISU win at NC came on Oct .15, 2011 in a 3-2 decision.
