Rumble Becomes ISU All-Time Receiver for Yards in Loss

Idaho State ends the 2012 season against Weber State on Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. –  Idaho State senior wide receiver Rodrick Rumble set the career record for most receiving yards on Saturday evening as he caught 10 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown. The senior receiver passed Ed Bell's 2,676 yards, a record that was held since 1969.

Idaho State lost to No. 19 Cal Poly 70-14 on Saturday.

Idaho State had 390 yards of total offense while Cal Poly had 650. Kevin Yost threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns but did throw three interceptions. Josh Hill tied his career high for receptions with 12 for 111 yards. Luke Austin scored his eighth touchdown of the year and caught three passes for 31 yards.

Trevor Spence had a career-high 20 tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss. Taison Manu had 12 tackles and Jake Pele had 11. Ethan Monroe had an interception.

Cal Poly jumped out to a 35-0 lead before the Bengals got on the scoreboard. Rumble scored on a three-yard touchdown reception with six minutes left in the second quarter to make the score 35-7. Cal Poly led 42-7 at halftime.

Austin scored the first points of the third quarter on an 18-yard reception.

Idaho State closes out the 2012 season next Saturday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in Holt Arena against Weber State.
