BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State volleyball (20-5, 14-2 BSC) is tied for first place in the conference. This week, Idaho State travels to Weber State (10-18, 3-13 BSC) and hosts Sacramento State (9-17, 5-11 BSC). The Bengals face Weber State Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. and Sacramento State Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.
ABOUT IDAHO STATE

As a team, the Bengals are leading the conference in assists (13.20), kills (14.05) and hitting percentage (.251).
Nationally, the Bengals are ranked 29th in assists per set, 24th in win-loss percentage, 39th in kills per set, 37th in hitting percentage, 74th in aces per set and 61st in blocks per set. Mendenhall is 20th in the nation individually in assists per set.
BENGALS CLINCH SPOT IN POSTSEASON
With the two wins against North Dakota and Northern Colorado, ISU has secured a spot in the 2012 Banner Health North Colorado Medical Center Big Sky Volleyball Championship in Greeley, Colo., November 23-24.
LAST WEEK IN BENGAL VOLLEYBALL
Last week, Idaho State defeated Montana (3-0) and Montana State (3-0) at home and is back in a tie for first place. The win gave ISU its 20th victory of the season, making this season the first 20-win
campaign since the 2003 season.
HONE-HAWKINS CLOSING IN ON CAREER 1,000s

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has broken the 1,000-point barrier as she has now tallied 1,093.5 points throughout her career. Hone-Hawkins also has 996 total digs, four away from 1,000. She also has 913 total kills. To become a member of the triple crown club, a player needs 1,000 points, 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills.

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has been named Big Sky Player of the Week for matches played the week of Oct 22-Oct. 28. It is the first POTW honor for Hone-Hawkins. Hone-Hawkins helped Idaho State go 2-0 on the road, defeating North Dakota (3-0) and defending Big Sky Champion Northern Colorado (3-0). The wins helped ISU secure a spot at the 2012 Banner Health North Colorado Medical Center Big Sky Volleyball Championship in Greeley, Colo., November 23-24.
BENGAL STANDOUT: LORI MENDENHALL
So far this season, junior setter Lori Mendenhall has been named Big Sky Player of the Week twice (9/17 and 9/10). After leading ISU to a Kesier Classic title, she was also named tournament MVP. Against NAU (9/14), Mendenhall recorded a career-high 62 assists on her way to a double-double with 12 digs. So far this season she has recorded 1058 total assists as well as 86 kills, 18 service aces, 247 digs and 38 blocks.
VAN EVERY NAMED SENIOR CLASS AWARD CANDIDATE

Breanne Van Every was selected as a candidate for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award. Van Every was one of 30 candidates selected from Division I teams nationwide. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
ABOUT WEBER STATE
Weber State is 10-18 overall and 3-13 in conference action. The Wildcats are 3-6 at home. Rebecca Fuchs leads in kills, averaging 2.83 per set. Caitlin Penrod averages 7.94 assists per set while Laurel Bodily leads the dig effort with 3.35 per set. Audrey Gee leads in blocks, averaging 1.20 per set.

Weber State leads the series 40-38. Idaho State won the last contest 3-0 in Pocatello.
ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE
Sacramento State is 9-17 overall, 5-11 in conference play and 2-9 on the road. Janelle Currey leads in kills for the Hornets, averaging 2.83 per set. Hannah Hettinga leads the assist effort with 7.64 per set while Sydney Kordic is the top digger with 4.91 per set. Olivia Moss leads in blocks, averaging 1.43 per set.

Sacramento State leads the series 26-7. Idaho State won the last contest 3-2 at Sacramento State. The Bengals have won two straight against the Hornets. ISU last defeated the Hornets at home in Pocatello on Nov. 6, 2010 in a 3-1 decision.
