First of Five Straight Road Games Begins at Oregon

Tipoff is at 4 p.m. on the Pac 12 Network.

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State returns to the road for a Saturday afternoon contest at Oregon. Tipoff is at 4 p.m. and the game can be heard live on 102.5 KMGI and 930 KSEI. Live audio is available at isubengals.com and the game can be seen live on the Pac 12 Network. Saturday is the first of five straight road games for the Bengals. Idaho State's next home game is January 3 in Holt Arena vs. North Dakota.

Oregon leads the overall series, 4-1. The last time the two teams met was on Dec. 22, 2009 when the Bengals lost 77-71 in Eugene. All five meetings have been played at Oregon.

Oregon is 7-1 with its only loss being on a 77-66 defeat to Cincinnati in Las Vegas on Nov. 24. The Ducks are 6-0 at home and averaging 78.5 points on the season while giving up 66 points a game. Oregon has five players scoring in double figures led by Damyean Dotson and Carlos Emory's 11.3 points a contest. Oregon is shooting .475 percent from the floor.

The week that was...
In Idaho State's only game of the week, the Bengals beat Montana Western 70-52 at Holt Arena. Chris Hansen led the scoring with 20 points while Tomas Sanchez had 17 points, four rebounds and three steals. Melvin Morgan had his first-career double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Idaho State shot 43.1 percent from the field and held the Bulldogs to 33.3 percent shooting. Montana Western only shot 24 percent from the field in the first half.

Bengals Against the Pac 12
Idaho State has lost 18 straight games to Pac 12 opponents. The last time a Bengal team beat a Pac 12 program was in the 1986-87 season when ISU won 62-57 at Oregon.

Tomas To The Line
Idaho State guard Tomas Sanchez leads the nation and Big Sky Conference  in free throw shooting as he is a perfect 22-for-22 from the free throw line. He is the only player in the country who has not missed a free throw.

Team Big Sky Rankings
ISU leads the conference in scoring defense and by only allowing 55 points a game. ISU ranks fourth in free throw percentage at 73.4 percent, third in field goal percentage defense at 40.7, third in blocks at 4.3 and second in steals at 7.3 a game.

Individual Big Sky Rankings
Tomas Sanchez leads the conference in free throw percentage as he is a perfect 22-for-22. He also ranks ninth in assists at 3.3 and second in steals at 1.8. Melvin Morgan is ninth in assists at 3.3 and  Ayibakuro Preh is fifth in blocks at 1.5 a contest.

Getting Defensive
Idaho State ranks No. 15 in the country in points allowed at 55 a game. The Bengals have not given up more than 60 points all season. Stephen F. Austin leads the country as they have only allowed 44.2 points a game.
