RESULTS
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Idaho State women's tennis team lost to No. 43 Sacramento State 7-0 Friday. The Bengals fall to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in Big Sky action while the Hornets improve to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Big Sky action.
The Hornets started off the match by taking the doubles point, winning the No. 2 spot 8-2 and the No. 3 spot 8-0.
“All I asked of the women today was to make improvements throughout the match,” ISU Head Coach
Bobby Goeltz said. “I wanted to see them make adjustments as they played and to do better as the went along and for the most part, that's what happened. I think they did the best they could and I can't ask for more than that.”
SAC then swept the singles competition.
Katharina Marsela lost at the No. 1 while Moorhead was defeated at the No. 2 position 6-1, 6-2.

Rachel Ryan lost at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 positions respectively.
The Bengals next match will be Saturday, March 3 at home against Northern Colorado. The contest will be held at the Reed Gym Indoor Courts and will begin at 9 a.m.
