Bengals Down Lumberjacks 4-3

Freshman Austin Miller decided the match with a win at the No. 6 singles

Freshman Austin Miller's singles match decided the contest between ISU and Northern Arizona Sunday.
RESULTS

POCATELLO, Idaho
– The Idaho State men's tennis team defeated Northern Arizona 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the Reed Gym Indoor Courts.
 
Idaho State started off the match by winning the doubles point. Nate Gross and Dan Buckingham defeated NAU's Robin Pezzutto and Dominic Bermudez 8-4 at the No. 2 position while Dakota Pate and Krzyzstof Stempien defeated Patrick Schimmelbauer and Ben Lantz at the No. 3 spot.
 
Northern Arizona tied the match, taking three singles matches at the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 spots. However, Austin Miller decided the match with a win at the No. 6 spot over Lantz 6-4, 6-3.
 
Gross and Stempien also won singles matches during the day. Gross defeated Bermudez 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 2 spot while Stempien won the No. 3 singles 6-2, 7-6 over Shaun Waters.
 
The Bengals improve to 3-7 overall and 2-1 in Big Sky action while the Lumberjacks fall to 2-6 and 1-2 in league play.
 
The Idaho State men return to action Saturday March, 3 against Northern Colorado. The contest will be held in Pocatello, Idaho and begin at 1 p.m.
