BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State plays their first home conference games this weekend against Montana State on Friday and Montana on Saturday. Both games start at 7 p.m. The Bengals split their games last weekend, beating Northern Colorado 3-0 and falling to North Dakota 3-1. They are currently ranked fourth in the conference.

AGAINST NORTHERN COLORADO
In a rematch of the Big Sky Championships, the Bengals defeated Northern Colorado in three sets, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-14, on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee posted her fourth double-double of the season with 43 assists and 10 digs. Whitney Harrington and Makenzie Filer both hit over .500 for the match. Harrington had eight kills on 14 attempts for a .571 hitting percentage. Filer had eight kills on 13 attempts and one error for a .538 hitting percentage.

As a team, the Bengals posted a .330 hitting percentage compared to Northern Colorado's .212.

AGAINST NORTH DAKOTA
The Bengals dropped their second conference match of the year to North Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 28. They lost their first match 25-20 before winning their second 25-19. They lost the final two 25-20 and 26-24.

The Bengals posted a .177 hitting percentage compared to North Dakota's .228. They were out-blocked 24-8.

MAKENZIE FILER
Sophomore Makenzie Filer posted a .538 hitting percentage against Northern Colorado with eight kills on 13 attempts with one error. She had 11 kills against North Dakota and had a .321 hitting percentage. She ranks second in the conference, first amongst Big Sky sophomores, in season hitting percentage with .385. On the season, Filer has 115 kills on 239 attempts with 23 errors.

Filer's .385 ranks first all-time for Idaho State single-season attack percentage.

LORI MENDENHALL-LEE
Senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee leads the conference in assists this season with 562 in 52 sets for an average of 10.83 per set. She ranks 42nd in the nation.

Mendenhall-Lee had her fourth double-double of the season against Northern Colorado with 42 assists and 10 digs. It marked her 30th double-double of her career.

TRESSA LYMAN
Sophomore Tressa Lyman ranks second in the conference for kills, first among Big Sky sophomores. She has posted 205 in 53 sets for an average of 3.87 per set. She also ranks second in points with 233.0 over the season.

Against Northern Colorado, she posted 15 kills on 28 attempts for an attack percentage of .464.

ABOUT MONTANA STATE
The Bobcats have lost their last five games and are 2-12 on the season. Last weekend, they fell 3-2 to Eastern Washington and 3-1 to Portland State.

Montana State freshman Kennadie Clute leads the Big Sky in kills with 4.02 per set and in points with 4.58 per set. She has six double-doubles for the season, tied for second-most in the conference. Her high was 25 kills and 12 digs in the Bobcats win versus Stetson University.  

ABOUT MONTANA
Despite being picked last in the conference, Montana has split their Big Sky matches this season, beating Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington and falling to North Dakota and Portland State.

Montana's 3-1 win over Eastern Washington is the Griz first win in Cheney since 1995 and snapped Montana's 17-game losing streak to Eastern Washington.

Montana leads the conference in blocks with an average of 2.58 blocks per set. They have the conference second-leading blocker in senior Brooke Bray. She averages 1.29 blocks per set.
