Bengals End Season With Loss at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah- The Idaho State football team closed out the 2013 football season with a 32-7 loss at Weber State on Saturday afternoon at Stewart Stadium. Throughout the entire game wind gusts of up to 50 miles an hour swept through the stadium causing the goal posts and press box to sway back and forth.

The Bengals finished the season 3-9 and 1-7 in Big Sky Conference play while Weber State improved to 2-10 and 1-7 in league.

The win forced the Bengals to rush the ball 47 times for 131 yards and pass the ball for 80 yards on 24 attempts and 11 completions. The Bengals turned the ball over five times in the game.

Xavier Finney rushed for 104 yards on 27 carries and KW Williams caught three passes for 47 yards. Mitch Beckstead had a season-high 18 tackles while Tanner Davis and PJ Gremaud each had 12.

Weber State opened the game with touchdown and the Bengals tied the contest at seven with 4:29 left in the first quarter. The Wildcats led 20-7 at halftime and Weber State scored 12 points in the final quarter to put the game away.

Four of the five ISU turnovers resulted in Wildcat touchdowns.

- Justin Arias set an Idaho State and Big Sky Conference record for passing attempts as he finished the season with 574. He passed Kevin Yost who had 553 in 2012.
