POCATELLO, Idaho
- Idaho State will play Boise State at Taco Bell Arena Friday, Nov. 29 at 3:30 p.m. The Bengals are looking to break a three-game losing streak with a trip to former Big Sky conference for Boise State.

The Bengals will play the fourth game of a nine-game road stint the day after Thanksgiving. The first three games were losses at Illinois-Chicago (70-62), 20th ranked Oklahoma State (74-45) and Utah State (78-66).

Lindsey Reed leads the team with 13.6 PPG while Jessica Tingey averages 11.4 PPG and leads the team with 8.4 RPG.

LAST GAME: UTAH STATE

An Idaho State comeback bid fell short as Idaho State fell to undefeated Utah State 78-66 in the third consecutive road loss for Idaho State Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

The Bengals trailed 44-18 at the break but outscored Utah State 48-34 after the break to challenge the Aggies in what looked like a lost cause at the break.

With the loss Idaho State falls to 2-3 on the season and USU stays perfect with a 4-0 record.

Lindsey Reed scored 22 points, 20 after the break to lead the ISU comeback. Jessica Tingey scored 15 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double in five games this season.

Seven of Tingey's 12 rebounds were on the offensive side of the ball which led to Idaho State outscoring USU 22-9 in second chance points.

REED HITS THE MILLENNIUM MARK

With 19 points on against Illinois-Chicago Lindsey Reed surpassed 1000 career points. She is just the17th player in ISU history to join the 100 point club. She also hit the 500 career rebound mark against Black Hills State last Monday.

THE "ROAD" TO BIG SKY PLAY

The Bengals began a tough nine-game schedule at UIC and will not play at Reed Gym until Jan. 9th against North Dakota. Road games include UIC, Oklahoma State, Utah State, Boise State, Drake and Iowa.

The game at UIC was the first game East of the Mississippi for Idaho State under coach Seton Sobolewski.

A DECADE OF THE BIG SKY CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Idaho State has advanced to a school record 10 straight Big Sky Conference Tournaments. In that time the Bengals have advanced to two NCAA tournaments (07 and 12) and four WNITs (04, 06, 08 and 13).

TRIP TO THE WNIT

The Bengals played in their second-consecutive post season national tournament in 2013. The Bengals played Brigham Young in Provo in the opening round of the WNIT. The Bengals fell 69-54 to the Cougars. Ashleigh Vella scored a team high 15 points and Jessa Jeppesen grabbed eight rebounds in the loss to BYU.

TWO STARTERS RETURN FOR THE BENGALS

Kara Jenkins and Lindsey Reed return for the Bengals. Jenkins comes into the season with 580 career points and 479 career rebounds. She has played in 93 games and has 53 starts for Idaho State.

Reed has 970 career points and 492 career rebounds. She has 92 games under her belt including 89 starts in her career at ISU.

OTHER RETURNERS FOR THE BENGALS

Senior Jessica Tingey, formerly Jessica Jensen, has 64 career points and 65 career rebounds. Senior Alissa Willard, a JC transfer, played in 15 games in 2012-13 and scored four points. Senior Sheryl Bitter has the most experience of tvhe last season's non-starters; she had played in 77 games and scored 109 points in her career at Idaho State.

Junior Becca Schimpsher has played in 35 career games and has 46 points. Sophomore Anna Lee Policicchio played in only six games last season but spent time over the summer with the Canadian U19 National team.

BENGALS RANKED FIFTH IN BOTH PRESEASON POLLS

The Idaho State Women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the Big Sky Conference by both the coaches and the media the Conference released Wednesday.

The first five spots were the same in both polls. Eastern Washington is the favorite followed by Montana, Northern Colorado, Montana State then Idaho State.

In the coaches poll the Bengals were picked just above Southern Utah followed by Portland State, North Dakota, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona and Weber State. In the Media Poll Sacramento State was picked in the sixth spot followed by Portland State Southern Utah, North Dakota, Northern Arizona and Weber State.

ISU PREPS FOR ANOTHER CHALLENGING NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

The 2013-14 non-conference line-up looks to be one of the more challenging seasons for Sobolewski and the Bengals. ISU faces competitors like Illinois-Chicago, Oklahoma State, Drake and Iowa as well as just two official home games in the preseason and nearly two months without a game in Pocatello.

ABOUT BOISE STATE

Boise State is 2-3 on the season with wins coming at home against NAIA teams The College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State. Boise State lost their season home opener to Southern Utah (90-86) and lost road games to New Mexico State (76-68) and South Dakota (74-61).

Veteran coach Gordy Presnell is in his ninth season as the coach at Boise State and has a 138-116 record with the Broncos. After going 15-15 in his first year (2005-06) the Broncos recorded four consecutive-winning seasons, including a school-record 24 wins in both the 2006-07 (24-9) and 2007-08 (24-8) campaigns. Presnell's teams have gone 61-65 (.484) in conference games and an impressive 82-38 (.68.3) at home in Boise, including a perfect 14-0 in 2007-08.
