POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State will play Drake in the first-ever meeting for the two teams and 25th ranked Iowa both on the road. The Bengals are coming off a 72-70 road loss to Boise State the day after Thanksgiving.
This week's games will be the fifth and sixth of nine consecutive games for Idaho state, the first four games were losses at Illinois-Chicago (70-62), 20th ranked Oklahoma State (74-45), Utah State (78-66) and Boise State (72-70).
Lindsey Reed leads Idaho State with 14.2 PPG and
Jessica Tingey is averaging 11.8 PPG and 7.8 RPG.
Head coach
Seton Sobolewski will not be on the trip because his wife Katie is expected to give birth at any time. Assistant coach Kemie Nkele will take over head coaching duties for the two games.

Five Bengals scored in double-figures but Idaho State came up short in a 72-70 road loss to Boise State Friday afternoon.
Lindsey Reed led ISU with 17 points and eight rebounds.

REED HITS THE MILLENNIUM MARK
With 19 points on against Illinois-Chicago
Lindsey Reed surpassed 1000 career points. She is just the17th player in ISU history to join the 100 point club. She also hit the 500 career rebound mark against Black Hills State last Monday.
THE "ROAD" TO BIG SKY PLAY
The Bengals began a tough nine-game schedule at UIC and will not play at Reed Gym until Jan. 9th against North Dakota. Road games include UIC, Oklahoma State, Utah State, Boise State, Drake and Iowa.

A DECADE OF THE BIG SKY CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
Idaho State has advanced to a school record 10 straight Big Sky Conference Tournaments. In that time the Bengals have advanced to two NCAA tournaments (07 and 12) and four WNITs (04, 06, 08 and 13).
TRIP TO THE WNIT
The Bengals played in their second-consecutive post season national tournament in 2013. The Bengals played Brigham Young in Provo in the opening round of the WNIT. The Bengals fell 69-54 to the Cougars.

TWO STARTERS RETURN FOR THE BENGALS
Kara Jenkins and
Lindsey Reed return for the Bengals. Jenkins comes into the season with 580 career points and 479 career rebounds. She has played in 93 games and has 53 starts for Idaho State.
Reed has 970 career points and 492 career rebounds. She has 92 games under her belt including 89 starts in her career at ISU.
OTHER RETURNERS FOR THE BENGALS
The Bengals lack experience, along with the two starters the Bengals have three other seniors, one junior and one sophomore to round out the list of returning players.

Jessica Tingey, formerly Jessica Jensen, has 64 career points and 65 career rebounds. Senior
Alissa Willard, a JC transfer, played in 15 games in 2012-13 and scored four points. Senior
Sheryl Bitter has the most experience of tvhe last season's non-starters; she had played in 77 games and scored 109 points in her career at Idaho State.
Junior Becca Schimpsher has played in 35 career games and has 46 points. Sophomore
Anna Lee Policicchio played in only six games last season but spent time over the summer with the Canadian U19 National team.

BENGALS RANKED FIFTH IN BOTH PRESEASON POLLS
The Idaho State Women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the Big Sky Conference by both the coaches and the media the Conference released Wednesday.
The first five spots were the same in both polls. Eastern Washington is the favorite followed by Montana, Northern Colorado, Montana State then Idaho State.
In the coaches poll the Bengals were picked just above Southern Utah followed by Portland State, North Dakota, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona and Weber State. In the Media Poll Sacramento State was picked in the sixth spot followed by Portland State Southern Utah, North Dakota, Northern Arizona and Weber State. ISU received four first place votes in the media poll out of 30 ballots casted.
ABOUT DRAKE
Drake is 3-4 on the season with wins against Creighton (62-55), South Dakota (89-81 OT), and Coastal Carolina (90-74) and losses against Wisconsin (66-41), Colorado State (92-77), Iowa State (89-47) and Cornell (59-49).
The Bulldogs are led by Kyndal Clark who averages 15.3 PPG and Lizzy Wendell who averages 10.4 PPG. Morgan Reid leads Drake with 6.2 RPG.
Drake was picked to finish fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference behind Indiana State, Wichita State and Northern Iowa.
Second-Year head coach Jennie Baranczyk leads Drake. In her first season leading the Bulldogs, Baranczyk became the fifth Drake women's basketball coach to win 10 or more games in their first season. Sophmore guard Kyndal Clark netted a pair of honors being named to the all-MVC second team and the all-Defensive team.
Baranczyk, 31, came to Drake after a two-year stint as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Colorado. Prior to Colorado, Baranczyk was an assistant coach for four seasons at Marquette after two seasons as an assistant coach at Kansas State.
ABOUT IOWA
The 25th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes are 8-1 on the season with their lone setback coming in a 90-87 road loss to 11th ranked Colorado. The Hawkeyes are coming off a 3-0 record at the Cancun Challenge with wins over USC, Boston College and UNC-Wilmington.
Iowa will face 22nd ranked Syracuse Thursday at home in the Ben Ten/ACC Challenge.
Iowa averages a blistering 81.4 PPG as a team with four players that average in double figures. Samantha Logic averages 14.3 PPG, Melissa Dixon 13.9 PPG, Bethany Doolittle 12.9 PPG and Ally Disterhoft 11.9 PPG. Disterhoft also leads the team with 7.1 RPG and was named a Parade All-American last season.
Veteran coach Lisa Bluder leads Iowa in her 14th Season at the school and her 30th overall. Under her direction, the Hawkeyes have advanced to 12 postseason appearances (10 NCAA and two WNIT), including NCAA Tournament berths in each of the last six seasons. Iowa is the only team in the Big Ten, and one of just 13 in NCAA Division I women's basketball, to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last six years.
The Bengals and Hawkeyes have met once in the history of the programs. In the 1982 Mid-America Classic the Hawkeyes topped ISU 74-62.
