Bengals Fall to Drake 78-59

DES MOINES, Iowa - Lindsey Reed scored a season high 23 points but Idaho State fell to Drake 79-58 at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Five Drake players scored in double-figures and the Bulldogs shot 26-55 from the field including 11-26 from the field in the win.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-4 lead in the culminating in a jumper by Ashley Bartow with 12:53 left in the first half.

The Bengals were able to cut the lead 43-28 at the half.

Idaho State cut the lead to 12 (61-49) on a layup from Reed with 7:51 to play but the Bulldogs finished the game on a 17-10 run to reach the 78-59 final.

Jasmine Lemon scored 10 and was the only other Bengal to score in double-figures.

Anna Lee Policicchio led Idaho State with seven Rebounds. The Bengals were outrebounded 39-45 The Bengals leading rebounder Jessica Tingey didn't play.

Lizzy Wendell scored 20 and added 11 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs, Carly Grenfell came off the bench to score 14, Bartow scored 12, Kyndall Clark scored 11 and Alyssa Marschner scored 10.

Idaho State will face 25th ranked Iowa Saturday at 1 p.m. mtn.
