Idaho State women’s tennis falls to 1-3 in Big Sky action with loss to Sacramento State

ISU women's tennis fell to Sacramento State 7-0 Friday.

- ISU women's tennis fell to Sacramento State at home Friday, 7-0. The Bengals fall to 1-3 in conference play.
 
Madelyn Weltzin and Wiebka Boeckmann played hard matches against their opponents but both fell in the tie break match. Weltzin fell to Olivia Boija in the No. 3 position 3-6, 7-6, 10-6. Boeckmann was overcome by Andrea Gomez Carus in the No. 6 spot 3-6, 6-2, 10-2.
 
Kasey Bacon fell to Rebeca Delgado in the No. 1 position 6-2, 6-3. Marian Tangarife was overcome by Jennifer Nguyen in the No. 2 spot 6-0, 6-1. Laura Theus was defeated by Sophie Lohscheidt in the No. 4 position 6-3, 6-3. Zamira Vasquez fell to Saskia Angerer in the No. 6 spot 6-0, 7-6.
 
The Bengals next travel to participate in the Las Vegas Tournament. Their first match will be against Western New Mexico University Sunday, March 23 at 5 p.m. The Bengals men will face Sacramento State Sunday, March 17 at home. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
