Bengals Host Western State on Saturday

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State hosts Western State on Saturday, September 14, at 3:05 p.m. in Holt Arena.  This is the second time in three years the two schools have played.  In 2011,  ISU defeated the Mountaineers, 44-7, in Holt Arena.  Idaho State leads the overall series 19-7-1 and the 2011 game was the first meeting between the two schools since 1962.

It is Be a Kid Again Day. Fans that bring a child to the game can get an adult ticket ($16) for the price of a kids ticket ($8). Vouchers are available on the official Idaho State Athletics Facebook page. Print off the voucher and redeem at the Idaho State Ticket Office.

Tallying Up the Yards
In his first career start, quarterback Justin Arias had the ninth-best passing performance in ISU history as he passed for 439 yards on 29-of-45 attempts vs. Dixie State on Sept. 7. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.  He had 467 yards of total offense as he had 27-yards rushing, including a 19-yard touchdown run just before halftime in the win 40-14 season-opening win.

Climbing the Win Ladder
With last week's win over Dixie State, Idaho State coach Mike Kramer earned his 81st win of his coaching career. He is in fourth place on the Big Sky Conference all-time victories list. NAU coach Jerome Souers is third on the list with 84. Kramer is tied for third for most Big Sky Conference wins with 54. Souers is second that list with 55.

Idaho State started a season 2-0 was in 1999. That year ISU opened the season beating, Eastern Oregon 54-28 and Fort Lewis 42-3.
