BENGAL OVERVIEW

Idaho State continues on the road this weekend at Northern Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 16 and at North Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Bengals opened conference play last weekend with a 3-2 loss to Northern Arizona and a 3-0 win against Southern Utah. They are currently ranked fifth in the conference.

AGAINST NORTHERN ARIZONA
The Bengals fell 3-2 in their conference opener versus Northern Arizona. The Bengals loss their first set 26-24 before taking the second set 25-18. They fell 26-24 in the third and won the fourth 25-21. In the deciding set, Northern Arizona took the Bengals 20-18. The score was tied 46 times in the match.

The Bengals had an overall attack percentage of .168 edging out Northern Arizona's .165.

AGAINST SOUTHERN UTAH
Idaho State swept the Thunderbirds, winning 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20. Idaho State posted a .096 attack percentage and Southern Utah posted .101.

MAKENZIE FILER
Sophomore Makenzie Filer narrowly missed a double-double against Northern Arizona with 13 kills and nine blocks. Filer led the Bengals against Southern Utah with 10 kills, four service aces and two blocks.

Makenzie Filer is leads Big Sky sophomores with for attack percentage with .384. North Dakota's Lisa Parlich leads the conference with .417. Filer is also the leading sophomore in aces with .062 per set. Portland State's Kasimira Clark leads with one ace per set.

LORI MENDENHALL-LEE
Senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee posted her third double-double of the season with 56 assists and 13 digs versus Nothern Arizona. She also had nine kills. Against Southern Utah, she posted 33 assists and two service aces.

Mendenhall-Lee leads the conference in assists with 10.62 per set. Idaho State leads the conference in assists per set with 10.62.

ALYDIA FIELDS-GRIMM AND TRESSA LYMAN
Junior Alydia Fields-Grimm posted her fourth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 17 digs.

Tressa Lyman had her third double-double and led the Bengals in kills with 19 and 16 digs. Lyman leads Big Sky sophomores in kills with 3.89 per set. Montana State's Kennadle Clute leads with 4.08.

KYLEE SEARLE-SESSIONS
Junior Kylee Searle-Sessions leads the Bengals with 150 on the season. Last weekend, she posted 20 against Northern Arizona and 15 against Southern Utah.

Searle-Sessions leads Big Sky juniors in digs with 4.38 per set.

ABOUT NORTHERN COLORADO
The Bears currently sit sixth in the conference with a 5-7 (1-1 BSC) record. They opened conference play on Sept. 20 with a loss to Montana in Missoula.

Montana topped Northern Colorado in three sets (25-17, 25-20, 25-20). Northern Colorado had a hitting percentage of .183 compared to Montana's .245. They committed 10 service errors.

The Bears posted their first Big Sky win against Montana State on Sept. 21. They won their first two match 25-22 and 25-20 before falling 21-25. They came back to win the fourth set 25-12. They had a hitting percentage of .296 compared to Montana State's .192. They had four service aces.

They returned home on Sept. 22 for a match against Texas A&M where they lost 3-1. The Bears won the first set 25-21 but loss the next three 25-23, 25-23 and 25-20.

ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA
North Dakota sits second in the conference with a 6-7 record (2-0 BSC). They opened conference play with a win against Montana State in Bozeman.

North Dakota easily won their first set 25-12. Montana State fought back in the second but North Dakota still won 25-22. The Bobcats won the third set 25-20. North Dakota won the decisive fourth set 25-14. They had a hitting percentage of .279 for the game and .500 in the first set.

North Dakota swept Montana 25-20, 25-23 and 25-18 on Sept. 21. They had a .288 hitting percentage compared to Montana's .064. North Dakota had only three attack errors in the final set.
