Bengals Open 2013 Football Season at Home vs. Dixie State

POCATELLO, Idaho-  Idaho State opens the 2013 football season at home on Saturday, Sept. 7, vs. Dixie State in Holt Arena. Kickoff is at 3:05 p.m.  This is the first meeting between the two schools.  Fans can follow the game on isubengals.com with live video, audio and live stats. ISU AND COKE PARTNER FOR 2013 FOOTBALL SEASON
Coke neckringers are available at local stores in Pocatello around the coke product that will feature a buy one, get one ticket free for the first football game on September 7 vs. Dixie State. Locations for Idaho State Coke Displays:  Albertson's Pocatello, Ridley's Pocatello, Wal Mart, Pocatello, Maverick Pocatello- Center Street, Maverick Pocatello- Alameda, Maverick Pocatello- Pole Line.

HOME AND SEASON OPENERS
Idaho State is 8-8 in season-openers and 11-5 in home openers. This year is the ninth time since 1997 ISU has opened the season at home. The Bengals have won their last three home openers, beating Black Hills State in 2012, Western State in 2011 and Montana Western in 2010.  The Bengals game vs. Montana Western was the last time ISU opened the season at home.

CLIMINGING UP THE WIN LADDER
Idaho State coach Mike Kramer can move into sole possession of fourth place on the Big Sky Conference all-time victories list with a win on Saturday.  He is currently tied for fourth with 80 wins. NAU's Jerome Souers is third on the list with 84 wins. Kramer is tied for third for most Big Sky Conference wins with 54. Souers is second on that list with 55.

NEW QUARTERBACK TAKES CHARGE
Redshirt junior Justin Arias is set to take charge of the Bengal offense after redshirting in 2012.  Arias saw time as Kevin Yost's back up as a sophomore in 2011. That season he competed in eight games, threw two touchdowns and completed 36 passes on 69 attempts.  Riley Sessions, CJ Reyes and James Delacenserie are battling for the back up role.
