POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team opens their 2014 season at home Thursday in a home non-conference match against Weber State at the Reed Gym Tennis Complex at 1 p.m.
The Bengals split the matchups with the Wildcats with each players winning at home. The Wildcats won the early match 6-1 in Ogden but the Bengals won the return match 4-3 for the conference win that counts.
The Bengals were picked 10th in the preseason poll while Weber State was picked ninth.
The Bengal squad has just one senior in
Zamira Vasquez and one junior in
Marian Tangarife. The remaining seven players on the team are sophomores including Norfolk State transfer
Laura Gutierrez.
