Men's Basketball Plays at Washington State

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State plays at Washington State on Friday, November, 21. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. mountain time. Tom Morris will call the action live on 930  AM and 102.5 FM. Washington State leads the series 6-1. WSU won the last meeting between the two schools, 74-39 on December 29, 2012. Idaho State's only win was a 91-76 victory in Pocatello during the 1983-84 season.

Washington State is 0-2, losing at UTEP 65-52 and at TCU 81-54. DaVonte Lacey leads the WSU scoring at 13 points a game and Josh Hawkinson is scoring 10.5 points and averaging 10.5 rebounds a game. The Cougars are shooting .352 percent from the field through the first two games.

Bengals Against the Pac-12
Idaho State has lost 21 straight games against teams from the Pac-12 Conference. The last time a Bengal team defeated a Pac 12 opponent was a 62-57 win at Oregon during the 1986-87 season.

Hansen Putting up the Points
Chris Hansen is on pace to become the 20th Bengal in program history to reach the 1,000 point mark for a career this season. In two plus seasons he has scored 855 points in his career. He scored 342 as a sophomore and 481 as a junior last season.  He has scored 32 points through the first two games.

Cleaning the Glass
Jeffrey Solarin proved to be one the best rebounders in the Big Sky Conference last year as he averaged 8.5 rebounds a game. In the first two games of the 2014-15 season he is averaging 10 rebounds a game after grabbing 14 at Denver on November 16.

The Week that Was
The Bengals opened the 2014-15 season last week with losses at New Mexico (79-55) and Denver (54-38). Chris Hansen led the scoring with 15 points at Denver and 17 at New Mexico. The Bengals shot 33.9 percent at New Mexico and 35.9 percent at Denver.

Recapping the Two Exhibition Games
Idaho State beat Montana Tech 66-59 and Great Falls 65-40.  Nnamdi Ezenwa led the Bengals with 19 points against Montana Tech and Evann Hall had 13 points against Great Falls
