SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Idaho State women's basketball team outplayed the University of Utah in the second half but fell 59-40 Wednesday night at the Huntsman Center.
"Our toughness and effort improved in the second half." Head Coach
Seton Sobolewski said. "We played much better defense holding them to just 24% shooting."
ISU outscored Utah 27-23 in the final 20 minutes.
Apiphany Woods led the Bengals with 13 points. The junior has scored in double figures in four of the last five games.
Anna Lee Policicchio added 11 points and six rebounds while
Jasmine Lemon had four rebounds and three assists.Â
Idaho State returns home Saturday afternoon, December 13 to take on Utah Valley University at two p.m. on the Idaho Central Credit Union court inside Reed Gym.
